Job Title: Regional Food Service Sales Representative CT/NY/VT
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for supporting, promoting and growing the Fireking product line within the current distribution network. The focus is to assist the distributor’s sales force in achieving success with Fireking breads. This involves strong interpersonal skills, an ability to effectively communicate with production, distribution, sales and culinary teams and a genuine enjoyment of the food service industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand Fireking’s product-market fit.
- Participate in product training, bread cuttings, business reviews, and conduct presentations to new and existing customers.
- Conduct district meetings & trainings to increase product visibility.
- Plan and execute bread presentations at food shows.
- Create and maintain relationships with distributor sales personnel and their support teams.
- Be continually aware of new product placement opportunities.
- Maintain and organize contacts, meetings, set and reach goals that are in alignment with the sales team’s goals.
- Provide and maintain an organized, properly labeled sample inventory in a third party freezer storage facility.
- Make a continual effort to be informed of market conditions, expose opportunities for bread placements and express information as a value-added service to the distributor sales teams.
- Ability to create new menu ideas to increase product awareness for sales consultants, corporate chefs, clients and prospects.
- Develop strong working relationships with the Fireking customer service, manufacturing, sales and shipping teams.
- Be flexible and willing to assist when sales support is needed outside of territory.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task.
- Be willing to travel regionally, sometimes on short notice and over night.
- Self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented, team player.
- Meticulous with follow up information to customers and sales staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize, make decisions and adapt when things do not go as planned.
- Comfortable interacting with all personality types.
- Enjoy being a team player in the food service industry .
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak English.
- Ability to lift, move boxes of frozen bread – 35lbs, transport show materials.
Education and Experience:
- Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, Chef Experience preferred.
